How to Use

How to Use Tabex

Embarking on your journey to quit smoking with Tabex is a significant step toward a healthier life. To achieve the best results, it’s crucial to follow the recommended intake scheme closely.

Intake Scheme:

  • Days 1 to 3: Begin by taking 1 tablet every 2 hours (6 tablets per day). Continue smoking as usual during these first three days, as it allows your body to adjust to the cytisine instead of nicotine.
  • Days 4 to 12: Start reducing your cigarette intake gradually. During this period, take 1 tablet every 2.5 hours (5 tablets per day). This phase is critical for beginning to break the smoking habit.
  • Days 13 to 16: Reduce to 1 tablet every 3 hours (4 tablets per day). By now, your desire to smoke should be significantly lessened.
  • Days 17 to 20: Continue your progress by taking 1 tablet every 5 hours (3 tablets per day). This reduction in both smoking and tablet intake helps ease your body off nicotine dependence.
  • Days 21 to 25: In these final days, take 1 to 2 tablets per day, aiming to stop smoking completely by the end of this period.

Guidelines for Usage:

  • Persistence is Key: If you haven’t fully quit smoking by the end of the initial 25-day course, it’s possible to extend the treatment for a limited time. However, during this extension, limit your intake to 1 to 2 tablets per day.
  • Follow the Schedule: Adhering to the recommended dosage schedule is crucial for maximizing the effectiveness of Tabex. Try setting reminders to help you take each dose on time.
  • Stay Committed: Quitting smoking is a challenging journey, but staying committed to your goal and following the Tabex regimen can significantly increase your chances of success.

By following these guidelines and using Tabex as directed, you’re taking a significant step towards overcoming nicotine addiction and leading a healthier, smoke-free life.

Clinical Studies / Research

Scientifically Proven

The Efficacy of Cytisine in Smoking Cessation

Tabex’s journey to being recognized as a leading smoking cessation aid is backed by rigorous clinical research and studies. Highlighted below are key studies demonstrating the effectiveness and safety of cytisine, the active ingredient in Tabex.

1.     Comparative Study of Cytisine and Varenicline:

A randomized clinical trial comparing the effectiveness of cytisine versus varenicline revealed that while cytisine was not found to be noninferior to varenicline based on the predefined margins, it was well tolerated and associated with significantly fewer adverse events. This study underscores the potential of cytisine as a viable alternative for smoking cessation, particularly for individuals concerned about side effects.

2.     Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis:

A comprehensive review and meta-analysis encompassing several controlled trials found that cytisine significantly increases the chances of quitting smoking. This analysis, which included high-quality randomized controlled trials, showed that cytisine was over three times more effective than placebo in helping smokers quit.

3.     Additional Research Findings:

Research has consistently shown cytisine’s effectiveness across various cohorts and demographic groups. Earlier studies conducted in Eastern Europe and more recent trials have provided a strong foundation for the use of cytisine in smoking cessation efforts. These studies highlight the sustained efficacy of cytisine in significantly reducing smoking rates among users compared to placebo treatments and its favorable safety profile.

These studies form the cornerstone of our understanding of cytisine’s role in smoking cessation. They provide not only a testament to the effectiveness of Tabex but also offer hope and a scientifically validated path for individuals looking to quit smoking.

For healthcare providers and those considering smoking cessation options, these studies offer in-depth insights into the benefits and considerations associated with using cytisine. We encourage further reading and consultation with healthcare professionals to understand how Tabex can fit into individual cessation plans.
